Diy floral clutch

So yesterday evening I was reading an H&M fashion magazine while waiting for my laundry to finish and I saw the cutest little clutch kinda thing. (Here is the link for it if you'd like to see: http://www.hm.com/de/product/97374?article=97374-A ) I was reminded of some old glasses cases I had lying around in some boxes (I used to have glasses from like 3rd grade). Soo I ransacked all my old junk and found them! The one I picked seemed about the same size as the one in the magazine so I decided to take on this project! It's super easy and if you have some extra fabric, paint and any old or cheap glasses case, it's free!
*There are three paints in the picture but I really only used two. And feel free to paint it however you'd like! The way I did it, it ends up having a watercolor/painted look.
*Before you apply the mod podge, it really doesn't look that great. So don't be discouraged if it isn't turning out as you would have liked. It will later! And ps. be careful not to mod podge it closed!

Thanks for checking out my tutorial! :) Leave comments and don't be afraid to ask questions! If you happen to do it yourself, I'd love it if you'd send me a picture of the outcome!

  2. Ok so here is my question, I live in France and have recently gotten into the art of all things crafty... And Mod Podge just seems to be THE thing that I need. I've looked in various shops for some but havn't found any. Where do you get yours from??? I NEED some! Thanks! As always your posts are great!

    1. Unfortunately I don't think it is here at all.. I only have mine from America. Your best bet is probably to buy it online I guess. :/ I know there is a recipe out there I've seen on pinterest (like this one http://www.minieco.co.uk/recipe-for-homemade-glue/ ) to make it but I am not sure how it turns out cause I've never tried it before. Sorry I can't help much!

  3. Thanks anyway. I'm not sure I'll give that a go, I tried buying some glue the other day from a 'crafty' shop so I'm going to try that out! If it works then I'll definately let you know! Just for info though, Mod Podge is basically a brand name for glue that is used to stick fabric among other things and can also be used to coat a surface to protect it. Am I correct? Never having used it before I'm not sure that I've understood it completely...
